Museum of Saltykov – Shchedrin in Tver – the country’s first museum of the writer – satirist, is open to his 150-year anniversary of the memorial house where Saltykov – Shchedrin lived for two years, while serving as Vice – Governor of Tver. A museum designed by Moscow artist Yuri Kertselli.
Basis of the exposition make art panels made by Valery Chumakov. Panels are a kind of “windows” in the world of Russian XIX century. In addition, they convey the modern perception of the life and works of Saltykov – Shchedrin as a writer and public figure, a strange Russian official who genuinely cares for the fate of Russia and its workers. Against the background of a panel built museum.
